As you may recall, that book there on the right was shortlisted along with these awesome books by Danny Weston and Elizabeth Laird for the 2018 Scottish Teenage Book Prize. And tomorrow the winner will be announced!! Stay tuned!
I'm so excited to share that Children of Icarus has been shortlisted for the Scottish Teenage Book Prize 2018!!! YAY! Excitement!
This is a really awesome prize since it's all about reader choice, and the Scottish Book Trust is amazing for putting it off.
If you'd like to check out the prize and/or see a video of yours truly in Scotland (shout-out again to the people at the Scottish Book Trust for taking this weirdo and somehow putting together a beautiful video) here are the links:
I had an absolutely amazing time at the Lipstick Library event in Stockton-on-Tees tonight! Thanks so much to the Stockton Central Library for having me. It was such an honour taking part in the Crossing the Tees festival. Met so many wonderful people and just generally had a lot of fun! Great night!
Had a wonderful time at the Oratory School in Berkshire for the FCBG conference. Thanks so much to the organizing committee for making me feel so welcome, and thank you to Daniel Hahn for moderating the panel with D. J. Brazier (author of Alone) and yours truly. Tons of fun!
I had an absolutely fantastic time at Wee Write! Thanks to all the students and teachers for their wonderful questions, and thanks so very much to everyone that works to make this wonderful festival happen! And, of course, thanks for inviting me to participate!
